Every Full Moon, Ikebana Ink releases new Flash designs at a discounted rate, in the spirit of alignment and setting our intentions.

While all our Flash is available any time of the year by appointment, it's usually priced according to size (see "Flash Designs" tab for pricing), and during Full Moon Flash Day it's offered at a discount for that day only, as a walk-in (keep in mind, there is usually a waiting list and we will call you when your turn is up).

Full Moon Flash Day is by walk-ins only, first come first serve.

The price and time on the booking site is an estimate, but you will only be charged for the time you are actively Tattooed
For example:
If you book a 3 hour session, but we only end up Tattooing for 2 hours, you will only be charged for the 2 hours.
If we need to go over the 3 hours, we can discuss it at the appointment before continuing or book another session for another day.

Please keep in mind that while I am all for Topical Numbing, there are certain recommendations and protocols to follow so that we can maximize it's use and minimize risk. 

In the past I have offered numbing for free, however with the rising cost of supplies and how often it is used incorrectly at home, I will begin to offer the service as an add-on to your Tattoo Appointment for $20. 

Please keep in mind adding this service will lengthen the time you are at the Tattoo Studio by 30 minutes to an hour, as we have to prep the skin and wait for the Lidocaine to properly absorb, as well as clean off before stenciling and Tattoo time. 

You will not be charged for this extra time, you will only be charged for hands-on Tattoo time!

If you have your own numbing, please make sure it's pure Lidocaine without menthol, camphor, or other ingredients.

Please wait to apply it until 30 mins before your appointment time or less, and keep a timer on how long it's been on. 

We often don't start Tattooing immediately, and timing is of essence for proper use.

To prep the skin before Lidocaine use, please wash the area with antibacterial soap, pat dry with a paper towel (no fabric towels!) then use a cotton round with alcohol solution and rub only in one direction until the whole area is covered. Let dry, then apply a generous amount of Lidocaine with clean hands, and cover with plastic wrap. Again, timing is of essence before it stops working or it affects the skin texture, so please do not apply more than 30 minutes prior to your appointment!

Also keep in mind that Lidocaine should not remain on the skin longer than an hour, and that the skin will only remain numb up to an hour after removing the numbing solution. We only have 2 applications before we lose the effect, so let's maximize it's use!

TATTOOING TIME IS AN ESTIMATE
It's possible to go hours past estimated time on Custom Tattoos (only Tattooing time is charged).

To avoid stress on both ends, I recommend not to make plans in the following hours after your Tattoo 

unless it's a small Linework or Flash Tattoo.

Keep in mind:

Stenciling can take up to 2 hours for Large pieces, wrapping pieces, or sleevework.

Numbing takes 20 minutes each application.

I don't send out Tattoo Designs prior to appointment.

We will review the design and make changes accordingly the day of your appointment.

This can take 1-2 hours depending on the changes.

This is all to make sure I can give you a good experience and a Tattoo you're 100% happy with!

✨ Please don't arrive earlier than appointment time.

My schedule runs very tight, and I need time to sanitize between appointments
as well as eat, drink water, and stretch.
If you arrive more than 5 minutes before your appointment time,
I might not be able to see you until the allotted time but you're welcome to use our waiting room
or to go grab some coffee/snacks in the area!

✨ Bring an ID for filling out consent form.

✨ No children allowed by Health Department Requirements.

✨ Eat before your appointment please (you can pass out).

✨ Bring comfortable clothes you won't mind stains on, and that make the Tattoo Area accessible.

✨ Don't shave Tattoo Area 48 hrs prior to your appointment !

        We have to prep the skin prior to shaving to avoid bacteria entering your open pores.

✨ No drinking, drugs, painkillers or any blood thinning medication 48 hours before Tattoo.

        These can alter bleeding, slow blood clotting, and slow healing.

✨ If you would like to use our numbing services, it will be a cost of $20 and will take 30 mins to an hour.
Please let me know ahead of time (or add the service when booking your appointment) and prepare accordingly time-wise.

✨ If you are using your own numbing, Please run it by me before it's use as some brands are not recommendable 

  because of it's compounds or extra ingredients, and make sure to prep the skin properly. 

  Please be sure to apply it NO LONGER than 30 minutes before your Tattoo Session, 

  and to time it correctly otherwise it will not work (see Numbing Tab for more info).

✨ Take your shoes off before getting on the Tattoo Bed please!

✨ Leave Derm Shield on for 7 days, no longer than 7 days.

✨ You can shower with Derm Shield on.

✨ Fluid Buildup is normal, the Tattoo will look blurry and you may get a bubble of fluid, 

      this doesn't affect healing, it actually helps because of the plasma 

  so unless it's leaking or peeling off you can leave it as is.

✨ If the Derm Shield is peeling or leaking, take it off. 

      Don't re-stick or use tape, this can risk infection.

✨ As soon as you take the Derm Shield off, wash your Tattoo.

      Use hypoallergenic soap and lotion.

✨ Wash and moisturize once a day for a week after removing the Derm Shield.

✨ If you take off the Derm Shield before the 7 days, then wash with antibacterial soap, 

  pat dry with paper towel (NO FABRIC TOWELS) and moisturize 2-3 times a day for a week. Keep clean.

✨ Avoid the Tattoo making contact with pets or surfaces they use.

      Pet Dander can cause cellulitis infection.

✨ No Vaseline, Vitacilina, or Neosporin.

✨ No hot tubs, sauna, pool, beach, or any type of soaking, even with Derm Shield on.

✨ Keep Tattoo out of the sun.

       It can irritate the skin and burn the ink (color will darken and cannot re-brighten).

✨ If you notice redness, swelling, or hives around the plastic, then take the Derm Shield off.

      Very rarely some people can have an allergy to the adhesive.

✨ Infection possible if Tattoo care is mishandled.

        Signs of infection:

        Burning sensation, sharp pain, swelling, Tattoo not healing.

        If you're experiencing any of these signs please go to the doctor or ER for antibiotics asap.

Signs of folliculitis:

 Small red bumps, they can be itchy. 

 If folliculitis becomes infected the can resemble acne, and can have pus inside.

 Folliculitis usually clears on it's own, just make sure to keep washing the affected area with antibacterial soap, 

 don't use fabric towels on the area, don't shave the area until it clears, don't pick at it or scratch, and keep clean.

If you have Eczema, you can experience a flare up in the Tattooed area if your immune system is low!

As an extra precaution, I recommend taking Emergen-C or your immune system boosting supplement 

 of preference for three days prior and after your Tattoo.
